continuing with the form, function, and spirit ideas of third year,
fourth year questions how architecture can express the individual - what
makes a building / space alive, active?
 |
house(s)
the house for "mom & dad" series investigated
opposition and unity - two individuals with different hobbies, likes,
dislikes yet together. |

|
this endless exercise (8 weeks = 8 houses) helped in understanding
how to make architecture "alive". |

environmental pavilion
the environmental pavillion questions the human intervention in the
ocean world - the pavillion becomes a "prison" for the "object"
held out of it's natural habitat (the ocean). We, the viewers, ride
the escalators, elevators, and moving sidewalks through the pavillion
looking at the whale skeletons and displays until finally being allowed
up into the "object" where an imax screen hovers over a
dolphin pool...
hopefully, the viewer begins to question...
one can only hope.
